OVER, UNDER, SIDEWAYS, DOWN

by Kizlode @ 06/02/08 - 00:24:50

What a couple of weeks it's been.

Starting of with going to Milton Keynes with Niki and Pete for my brother Bob's 50th birthday. Lots of stress leading up to it, changes and things so that we didn't know exactly what was going on some of the time, but on the whole it was a good day despite the distance and time taken to get there and back and family stresses.

Then on Friday I went to my friend Bob's funeral, again stress due to changes and uncertainties as to what was going on leading up to the day. It was a good service and, although I would have preferred the circumstances to be different, I did catch up with some people I haven't seen for quite a while.

Then on Sunday morning my daughter, Becca, gave birth to a little baby boy. Making me a grand-dad again. He is a beautiful baby and everyone is doing fine.

Then today I find out that my son, Scott, wants to drop out of sixth form college.

Anyway, as far as everyday life goes, Niki is doing ok. She's gone back to work now, so Saturday's are boys days for me and Pete. Pete is doing fine, he's started getting around on the floor a bit (not so much crawling as shuffling on his belly, dragging himself around turning round and round in circles) and we've started giving him some solid food (that's if you class pureed apple or rusks mashed up with baby milk as solid). He's doing ok on it, but it has made the changing of nappies interesting, to say the least :D

Well that's all from me for now, bye.

Darling I am sorry to hear about Bob (although I didn't know him personally).

That is bad news about Scott wanting to drop out of college. I wonder why, is it the subjects or the college itself he doesn't like? I think he will regret his decision later on.

Good news about Pete though, he seems to be thriving.

hope Scott doesn't drop out he might regret it later, though he might not, but get him to think about it carefully ( which I know you will:) )

Sorry about your friend Bob hun, must have been hard for you.

And yes Milton Keynes is a nightmare to get to (though worth it if you like shopping) I just don't get there enough and I can drive to it lol!! But by public transport - well that is a nightmare to do so you have every sympathy there - oh and happy Birthday (thought belated) to your brother:)

Glad all is well with Nikki and Pete as well as yourself, you sound more upbeat in this post.

Hugs xxxxxxxx

Oh forgot to say Congrats to Becca and hubby on the birth of their son, (sorry age is creeping up on me and my mind completely went blank when I tried to think what her hubbys name is) will come to me at 2 o'clock in the morning lol:)

Hugs xx

Oh goody, soon pete will be at that stage when you can get him to crawl under the sofa in a fluffy babygrow and he will dust it for you!

Don't look at me like that! I got that from "Practical and fun uses for your baby" page 15. (£12.99 Sedgwick & Jackson)

La spice did this to me, so I'm passing it on.
I tag you

a. list seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself
b. tag seven people to do the same
c. do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag “whoever wants to do it”

PS My daughter dropped out of 6th form two years ago - or rather, she stuck it out to the summer because we insisted, and then messed up her ASs.
then she went to the local FE college to do textiles - switched to doing graphic design at the end of the first term - and now she's applying to uni to do a degree in graphics.
sometimes it just takes them a while to work out what they want to do.
Take care,
xx
