YAAAWWWNNN!

by Kizlode @ 29/08/07 - 11:09:34

Hi everybody.

I must say that I'd forgotten just how tired you get with a new born baby around, hence the title of this post :D

I want to appologise to all my friends on here. It's only today, having logged on to put this post up that I realised (mainly due to reading a friends only post by Sketchweasel) that I haven't been reading any of my friends blogs on here for ages, not even the friends only posts. I got so caught up in the baby and my own stuff that I completely forgot about you guys, and I really want to say sorry. I hope to be able to get on her a bit more regularly now that Pete's starting to fall into some sort of routine and so will try to keep up with what's going on with all of you.

We've had a few people coming to visit us since Pete was born, and are trying arrange good times for others to come round as well as sort out dates for health visitors, doctors, regestration and benefit appointments.

Pete is doing well, we had a visit from the health visitor yeaterday and everything seems to be fine right now. Niki is getting better but still feeling the strains of the whole birth experience and just feeling tired sometimes. I'm doing ok apart from also feeling tired sometimes, although it appears that I'm the one who is starting to get the post-natal depression sysmptoms at the moment :DD

I've managed to record a version of Deep Purple's 'Smoke On The Water' (most of which was done before Pete was born) with the help of Mr Kelly and I will be putting up on the Kizlode MySpace site today, so please have a listen and let me know what you think.

Anyway, that about all from me right now

AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!

by Kizlode @ 21/08/07 - 17:49:22

This isn't something that I normally do but I just really feel the need.

I can't stand Pete Doherty. He is a talentless, egotistical, twat, who has (once again) got away with breaking the law.

PICTURES OF PETER

Here are some pictures of our new arrival:-

This was the first picture taken of him after he was born, being held by his exhausted mum.

And finally, a picture taken at the same time as the last one of me holding our new son.

BEHOLD THE HAMMER

by Kizlode @ 13/08/07 - 09:16:58

I was checking up on some of my favourite music blog sites via Bloglines earlier and found one with a clip of that most incredible of Heavy Metal frontmen THOR. I then followed the link back to YouTube and found loads more, I have no idea why but I just felt the need to share. Somewhere I have a full concert on video tape of THOR live at The Camden Underworld, maybe one day I'll get it transferred to DVD. THOR always raises a smile whenever I see him perform (mainlybecause I can't believe he's been going so long and has always been so bad), I hope these clips do the same for you:-

1. An early video of THOR doing a Sweet song.

2. A clip from a brilliantly bad film (title unknown, but I want to see it).

3. Video for the song 'Devastation of Musculation', see how the clips don't go with the song at all.

4. Video for the song 'Sleeping Giant'.

5. Video for the song 'Keep The Dogs Away'.

6. Song, 'Energy', taken from the earlier bad film.

7. Video for song 'Release The Beast', with clips from the earlier bad film and earlier performances.

Enjoy :))

Oh, by the way if anyone knows what that film is called, please let me know.

WELCOME TO THE DIVE!

by Kizlode @ 10/08/07 - 23:12:04

So, there I was a few weeks ago, in Waterstones picking up the new Harry Potter book for Niki when I noticed a poster saying that Suzi Quatro was going to be in the store doing a book signing. I went home and told Niki about it, you see Suzi Q has been a fantasy figure of mine since I was a teenager. About a week later Niki went shopping and came home with two tickets to the signing (which also gave money off the book). And so tonight we went to Waterstones and I got a copy of Suzi Q's book 'Unzipped' which she signed to me and some photo's of us together as well. Here's a couple:-

I really wanted to say something simple but witty when I met her, but unfortunately as soon as I stood in front of her I turned into a 13 year old again and was completely tongue tied. The only thing I kept thinking of was the fact that this woman was the object of my first ever wet dream. Anyway it was great, the signing I mean not the dream (although that was too) :>> If you want to know more about her new book, or to buy it check it out HERE.

After the signing, Niki and I went to a great resturant nearby called Asia Express, which does the whole 'all you can eat for a set fee' deal. The great thing is that it serves both Indian and Chinese food, and the service is absolutely brilliant. All in all it's been a really good night.

On to other things.

Niki is feeling more uncomfortable with every day, although hopefully it wont be too much longer now until the baby is here. I still have quite a few aches and pains, but I'm feeling a lot better now than I did a few days ago.

Here's a few links that I found and thought some of you might be interested in:-

Well I think that's about all for now, see you later.

...AND NEXT UP, MORE OF THE SAME!

by Kizlode @ 06/08/07 - 16:53:42

Still feeling grotty, still got aches and pains, although not as bad as yesterday. I'll see how it goes, I' a bit scared in case it's more than a muscular thing, especially as it's so close to the baby being born, but we will see what happens.

Not much more I can say right now.

HOSPITAL DAZE AND SLEEPING NIGHTS

by Kizlode @ 05/08/07 - 19:32:36

So, the rest of my day went ok after my last proper post.

Niki went to see the nurse at her doctors on Friday, as she couldn't get to see her midwife on Wednesday, and her blood pressure was up again. So off to the hospital we went for the same round of checks and things in the labour ward triage. This time we were only there for about 4 hours before being sent home and asked to come back on Sunday for them to check her blood pressure again. So up we went early this morning and managed to get out of there in less than an hour. Everything with Niki and the baby is fine and we're going back up to the hospital on Wednesday for a scan.

I've been feeling a little grotty for the last couple of days and had a really good, and heavy nights sleep last night. I woke up today and felt like crap, aches and pains all over, feeling tired and worn out. Don't know if it's the weather, the fact that I tried (unsuccesfully due to equipment failure) to do the back garden yesterday or if it's more than that. If I still feel this bad tomorrow I may well end up going to the hospital myself. Niki has been wonderful, looking after me, feeding me drinks and not letting me do too much, and generally looking after me.

That's about all I've got to say for now, see ya.
